Selfish or Self-Care

When we take care of ourselves, are we being selfish? As women, we are stereotypically caregivers. What happens when the well of nurturing runs dry? We become exhausted, sick, bitter and overall feel taken for granted. Sometimes when we take time out to care for ourselves, we are considered selfish. Ignore that!

The worn-out phrase of putting the oxygen on yourself before placing the mask on a child may be a tired one, however, it holds true. If we do not keep our well of caring well stocked, we will find ourselves unhappy and unhealthy.
